Abby and Josh want to meet for dinner before Abby goes to a show at the Chicago Theater (0,3) and Josh goes to a concert at Symphony Center (2,-3). They want to meet at the landmark that is closest to the midpoint of their after - dinner locations. At which landmark should they meet?

I believe that the question is simply asking for the midpoint of these two locations indicated by their rectangular coordinates. Then, to find the midpoint, add the coordinates and divide by 2.

(0, 3) and (2, -3)

midpoint = (0+2)/2, (3+(-3))/2 

= 1, 0

They should meet at (1, 0)
