You should remember the Order of operations: PEMDAS
Do things in Parentheses First:
so 1-e^(-0.04) is first then at the end multiply by 0.02.
Exponents before multiply, divide, and then add and subtract
1. exponent: e^(-0.4) in your calculator 0.67032
2. No multiplying or dividing
3. Add and subtract 1-0.67032 = 0.32968
4. Last multiply by what is outside the parentheses...
