Fraction Operations Word Prob (more in description)

Question

Yasmine is having a birthday party with snacks and activities for her guests. At one table, five people are sharing three-quarters of pizza. I used the equation: 3/4 = 3/4 x 1/5 =3/20

 

I need help on this question: If three-quarters of the pizza provided 9 slices to the table, how many slices were in the pizza when it was full?

3/4 x Total = 9

Total = 9/3/4 =9 x (4/3) = 36/3 = 12 slices for the total

Answer 2

3/4 * X = 9

 

3*X = 36 <-- multiply by 4

 

X = 12    <-- divide by 3
