Since the chef wants to make 380 milliliters of dressing that has 7% of vinegar, we can calculate the amount of vinegar in milliliter in the dressing and that is 380 *7/100 ml = 26.6 ml
now, let's assume the amount of first brand of dressing is X ml
and the amount of second brand of dressing is Y ml.
We can write two equations from the question. They're
X+Y=380 => X=380-Y.......(first equation)
and X*6/100 +Y*11/100 =26.6......(second equation)
=> 6X+11Y =2660
=> 6(380-Y) +11Y =2660 (putting the value of X from the first equation)
=> 2280-6Y+11Y=2660
=> 5Y=380
Y=76 ml
now, putting the value of Y in the first equation, we get X= 304 ml (Answered)
