Hi um I have been having trouble with solving this equation. So if you could help that would be great!

c is just a constant, right?

 

2x^2 - 5x + (6-c^2) = 0

 

Now just use the Quadratic Formula.

c²+4x=2x²-x+6

 

2x²-x-4x+6-c²=0

 

2x²-5x+(6-c²)=0

 

x=-(-5)±√(-5)²-4(2)(6-c²)

             2(2)

 

=5±√(25-48+8c²)

         4

 

=5±√(-23+8c²)

        4
