Hi Zane,
The standard form of line is written as y = mx + b, where m is the slope.
So we are given the slope and the coordinates o a point that this line passes through. All we need to do is plug in the x, y values and slope to solve for b.
when x = -4, y = 0
0 =(1/2)*-4+ b
b = 2
then the equation of the line is
y = (1/2)x + 2
