(a - 3)/4 - (2a - 5)/2 = (a + 1)/3 - 1/6
3(a - 3) - 6(2a - 5) = 4(a + 1) - 2 multiply both sides by LCD, 12
3a - 9 - 12a - 30 = 4a + 4 - 2
Can you solve for a?

(a-3)/4 - (2a-5)/2 = (a+1)/3 - 1/6
Clear fractions by multiplying through by 12
12[(a-3)/4-(2a-5)/2] = 12[(a+1)/3 - 1/6]
3(a-3) - 6(2a-5) = 4(a+1) - 2
3a-9-12a+30 = 4a+4-2
-9a + 21 = 4a + 2
19 = 13a
19/13 = a
a= 19/13 = 1 6/13
