Hi Jessica, the way to solve mixture problems is to set up a table. Let x represent the amount of 20% solution needed.
Solution Amount Decimal Total
----------------------------------------------------------
20% x .20 .20 * x
10% 10 - x .10 .10 * (10 - x)
19% 10 .19 .19 * 10
Then:
.20 * x + .10 * (10 - x) = .19 * 10
Solve for x, and you can find out how much of each solution is needed.
