Use the quadratic equation to solve, where a = 1, b = -6, and c = 6:
y = (-(-6) ± √((-6)2 - (4 * 1 * 6)))/(2 * 1)
y = 6 ± √(36 - 24))/2
y = 6 ± √(12)/2
y = 6 ± 2 *√(3)/2
y = 3 ± √(3)
Answers: y = 3 + √(3), y = 3 - √(3)
