Let C = age of Cameron
Let D = age of Drew
C - D = 1  (Cameron is older by one year)
C + D = 35 (Sum of ages is 35)
Solve by substitution:
C = D + 1  substitute value for C into second equation.
(D+1) + D = 35
2D + 1      = 35
2D            = 34
D              = 17
If Drew is 17, then Cameron is 18.  (Back substitute, double check using original language and you have a solution)
