1,000 mL NS began infusing at 0945 at a rate of 150mL/hr. Near the bottom of the bag of Fluid there is 100mL left to infuse.

A) how many minutes will it take for 100mL to infuse given that the rate is 150mL/hr?


B) what time would you mark on the bad for the end time ?

When 100mL  is left then 900 mL  has been used.

 

At the given rate of 150 ml /hr remaining 100 mL will take 40 min more 

Whereas 900 ml has taken 900/150 = 6 hrs

 

Total time = 6hr and 40 min

Which may be added to 09:45 to mark end time on the bag 16:25
