How is the graph of the opposite of -6 affected if -6 is decreased by 4?

How is the graph of the opposite of -6 affected if -6 is decreased by 4?

The opposite of -6 is 6.
If -6 is decreased by 4 the result is -10.
The fact in the sentence immediately above does not alter the first fact or the graph of -6's opposite.
 
If the author of this question INTENDED to ask a question about -10's opposite and its graph, said author would have to have written a better question.
 
I bet that this question came from the Common Core world; it is not well written.
