I need to simplify this question , What is , eight times a number added to -8 subtracted from triple the sum of eight times the number and 2

Ok I believe I have this one.

 

The equation that I came up with was 

 

8x + [3*(8x+2) - (-8)]=0

 

simplified 8x + 24x + 6 + 8 = 0  ---> 32x +14=0 ---> 32x= -14

 

x= -7/16
