The recipe for quiche calls for 7 eggs per dish. For the holidays you need to make 4 dishes to share. One carton of eggs has 12 eggs. What is the maximum number of cartons of eggs do you need to buy in order to have enough.

4 dishes with each requiring 7 eggs means 28 eggs in all are required.

 

ASSUMING that there are no eggs in the refrigerator, you'll have to purchase 3 dozen eggs (2 dozen would fall four eggs short).
