i dont know how to solve this/ algebra 1

Question

a plane leaves the ligoneir and travels west at 230 knots. a second plane leaves 3 hr laterand travels east at 215 knots. how long has each plane been in the air when the two planes are 1135 nautical miles apar

t + 3 represents the time the first plane flies

 

230(t + 3) + 215t = 1135
