So now plug in each of those x values & see what you get for y, in each case.  Done!

No.  Plug in 1 for x as below:
 
y = .5(2)1
 
therefore
 
y = 1
 
Now repeat this for x = 2 and x = 3. You should have a total of 3 answers for y. Can you do this?
