Divide both sides by 5
-3<r  NG, say I. HE SHOULD NOT HAVE REVERSE DIRECTION OF THE INEQUALITY!!

r < -3 is the answer.   You can read if from right to left, in which case it says "-3 IS GREATER THAN r.

If you subtract 6r from both sides and add 5 to both sides we will have
-5r >15

If we divide by -5 on both sides
We get r<-3
As long as I remember to switch the direction of the sign when dividing by a negative I avoided this in my original post by keeping the coefficient of r positive

Gregg, you messed up, and you have not made amends!
Originally, had the wrong answer because you reversed direction even though you divided by a positive number.

I answered 2 different ways and both of my answers are r<-3

Unless Gregg edited his post from the original way it was input...
There is NO ERROR in his answer.  -3>r is the same as r<-3.
He put it both ways and, as he stated, since he left the r positive
by subtracting 10 from both sides ... There was no need to switch
the inequality when dividing by 5.... Which He Didn't.
