Question

Hello.  I urgently need help. 

 

How do I do the question (1/27)^1/3

 

When I work it out I get the answer 1/3 and so does my calculator. However,  my text book says the answer is 3.

 

I've looked it up online and get conflicting answers.

 

Please give me the answer with an informative explanation.
