A woman owns a small cash only business in a state that requires her to charge 7% sales tax on each item in the cash register . At the beginning of the day she has $300 in the cash register . At the end of the day she has $1691 in the register . How much money should she see send to the stated government for the sales tax she collected

She collected $1,391 (1691 - 300).

1391 = sales + tax

1391 = s + 0.07s
