To find the x-intercepts, set n(x)=0 and solve for x.

 

To find the vertex, use the formula

 

h = -b/(2a)   ------> x-coordinate of the vertex

 

where:

a = 1

b = -6

 

The coordinate of the vertex is then  (h , n(h))
