Do you mean "What common factor?"
Otherwise, they both have a four in the tens place.

I would agree with Mark. What is the real question? What type of math are you working on?
If I had to take a guess, you could say any of the following:
-they both have a 4 in the tens place
-they are both divisible by 5
-they are both less than 50
etc. 
 
none of these may be the correct answer though, because more information is needed.

I suspect the intent of the question was to find common factors, although that was not clearly stated.  In that case, David W. answered the intent of the question.
