Write an equation for the linear function using t as the variable?

 

I have tried the following equations and none of them seem to be correct:

(1.5/5t)+8

8+(1.5/5t)

(8+t)1.5/5

If t = number of minutes of rental time

you would divide that by 5 to get the charged

time... multiply that by 1.5 for the cost.. and

add 8 to the product to include the set up charge:

 

f(t) = 1.5(t/5) + 8

 

If you do the division part then you have:

 

f(t) = 0.3t + 8
