I'm confused on taking a derivative of a periodic funciton

Question

So the function is y= 5+4.9 cos(pi/6 *t)

and it asks me to find the derivative dy/dt, but I don't know how to find it for a periodic function. please help me?

My prior answer to your other related question will show you how to get f' (remember to apply the chain rule). Then just differentiate that result to get f", etc. etc.
