The density of aluminum is 2.70 g/cm^3. A piece of aluminum that is 5.00 cm on each side has a mass of 5.60 g. How thick is this piece of foil?

I see the comment. Assume the foil is a square, with each side 5 cm. The mass of 5.60 grams divided by the density of 2.70 grams/cm^3 gives us the volume of foil as 2.074 cm^3. So, to get the thickness, we divide the volume by the product of length and width, thus: 5 x 5 x T = 2.074, so thickness is 2.074 / 25 = 0.083 cm.
