Graph of function

Question

For my homework, I was given a graph of a function. I was able to find the domain and range and increasing and decreasing and constants, but the last question, I have no idea what it means. Help please Thanks!

You going to set the expression that is represented by f(x) greater than 1.  In other words, set up an inequality.  You can solve this algebraically.

 

If you want to solve it graphically, then you would graph the function and y=1 on the same coordinate system.  The solution will be intervals of x where the graph of the function is the above the line y=1.
