One half of a number plus 4 is greater than 10

I dont know how to make this into an equation and the greater than is an inequality sign.

half the number is (1/2)X

 

(1/2)X + 4 > 10

            -4     -4

 

      (1/2)x > 6

 

multiply both sides by 2/1

 

             X > 12

subtract 4 from both sides

 

1/2(x) > 6

 

multiplied with 2 to both sides

 

x > 12
