English - Is this grammatically correct?

Question

My friend and I were playing basketball and he said something that I don't particularly agree with. He said he was going to go from "court to court" when he was talking about him going from one side of the court the other side of the basketball court. Would saying "court to court" be grammatically correct? Elaborate, if you will.

It's grammatically correct; it just doesn't make sense.  But trash talk such as "one side of the court to the other" doesn't quite roll off the tongue as nicely, does it?
