The line that bisects Quadrant II and Quadrant IV is at a 45° angle downward slope (thus, negative) of (-1).  It intercepts the y-axis (the point where x=0) at the Origin (0,0).

 

The equation of the line, in slope-intercept form, is:

       y = -x
