Treat the fractions as a division problem to get a whole number.
Therefore, -11/5 = -2.2 (remembering that a negative number divided by a positive number is equal to another negative number - if doing by hand) and 15/10 = 1.5
Now your numbers are: -2.2, -2.4, 1.6, 1.5, and -2.25.
Obviously negative numbers have a smaller value than positive ones; however, going down the numerical scale, the larger the negative number appears to be then the "more negative" it is, meaning that they are the smaller numbers.
