The y-intercept is where x = 0; so, solving the equation yields y = 2. The x intercept is the point(s) where y = 0. So, we must solve the quadratic equation to find 2 points of x-intercept. Using the solution to quadratic equations, I calculated the 2 points on the x-axis at - 0.585 and -3.414.
x = [-b +/- SQRT(b^2 - {4}{a}{c})] / 2a
