Hey! Lets solve this shall we ?
So, we must find the distance between the points (-5,5) & (7, 8) = (x1,y1) & (x2,y2). We obtain the distance by using the distance formula such that
d = √(x2-x1)2 + (y2-y1)2 = √(7-(-5))2 + (8-5)2 = √(144+9) = √(153) = 12.3693 = 12.4 (to the nearest tenth)
I hope this helped!
