Money Problem about Nhu's car.

Nhu is saving to buy a car. In the first 6 months, his savings were $80less than 3/4 the price of the car. In the next 6 months, Nhu saved $50 more than 1/5 the price of the car. He still needs $370. a. what is the price of the car? b. What is the average amount of money Nhu saved each month? c. If Nhu continues to save the average amount each month, in how many months will he be able to afford the car?

First six months:
0.75(6800) - 80
Divide this amount by 6 to get the monthly average
Second six months:
0.2(6800) + 50
Divide this amount by 6 to get the monthly average
 
If you want the average over the twelve months, add the two and divide by twelve.

Can you also help with this is one. In a gymnastics compeition, an athlete's final score is calculated by taking 75% of the average technaical score and adding 25% of the artistic score. All scores are out of 10, and one gymnst has 7.6 average technical score. what artisitc score does the gymnast need to have a final score of at least 8.0?
