Solve the equation: e^2x - 5e^x + 4 = 0

Solve the equation. Give exact answers.
e^2x − 5e^x + 4 = 0
I have no idea how to factor something with e's in it. I don't know if factoring is the way you go about an equation with e's in it. Please explain the answer's steps.

so using logs I would get log_base(e) (4)   and log_base(e) (1) right, and I would leave it this way for exact answers right?

we usually write ln instead of loge

So, x = ln4 or ln1

Since ln1 = 0, the answers are ln4 and 0.
