Divide the numerator by the denominator for each fraction, then determine 

which ones are greater than .5:

 

1/2 = .5

 

2/5 < .5

 

45/75 > .5

 

6/13 < .5

 

20/42 < .5

 

8/15 > .5

I'm not a math person, but I remember this well from school. The bottom number (denominator) is important here. When comparing to 1/2, take the denominator of each fraction and divide by 2. Whichever fraction has a top number larger than the result of dividing the bottom number by 2 is your answer.
