Help with word problems

Question

Bob has a stack of $1 bills, Ian has some $5 bills, and Kim has more than one $10 bill.  Each person has the same amount of money.  What is the least amount each one has?

Since each has the same amount of money, we need to find the least common multiple of 1, 5, and 10.

Least common multiple of these numbers is 10 ... however, since Kim has more than 1 $10 bill, she has a minimum of $20.

 

That is the least possible amount that each one has.
