There are 4 congruent right triangles formed by the two diagonals. Each hypotenuse is 17 (¼ of the perimeter, since all sides of a rhombus are equal). One of the legs of the right triangles must be 15, since the diagonals bisect each other.
Then the other legs of the right triangles must be 8, using the well-known 8-15-17 Pythagorean triple.
 
It really helps to know the basic Pythagorean triples!  Look how quickly this can be solved.
