At a basketball game, a coach tracked the number of shots each basketball player made in the first half of the game. The results for the five players are 14, 8, 7, 3, 11. Use the data to make a box-and-whisker plot

Order the numbers from least to greatest:

3 7 8 11 14

The first point is the lowest number.

3

The "lowest line" of the box, will be the median of 3 & 7. 3+7 = 10/2 = 5

The median of all the data is 8, so it's the middle line of the box.

The last line of the box will be the median of 11 and 14. 11+14 = 25/2 = 12.5

The last point will be the highest number or 14.
