If (a,b) is a point on a coordinate plane, what will its location be after it has been reflected across the X-axis?

If point (a,b) is on a coordinate plane, then the location of the point after it is reflected on the x axis it will be located in the fourth quadrant with coordinates a and -b and it will be denoted as (a,-b)and this happens cause when one has the function -f(x), the -1 only affects the values of the range (i.e the y values for which the function is defined) and not the value of the domain (i.e the x values for which the function is defined.)So if you do not understand some of the things that I wrote here please feel free to message me here and please vote for my response if you have a chance.
