(a) Write a unit rate comparing the amount of flour needed to the portion of a batch of cookies made. 

(b) How many cups of flour is needed to make 1 batch of cookies? Explain your reasoning.

Final Unit Rate is 4 2/3 cups flour = 1 batch of cookies

 

To get that, multiple 2 times each side of the equation. 

 

2 times 2 1/3 = 4 2/3 cups 

2 times 1/2 = 1 batch

 

 If you have 2 1/3 cups to make a half batch, doubling that amount of flour will make a full batch.
