Two cars are 480 miles apart. They both move towards each other along the same road at the same time. The speed of the two cars are (2v+8) miles per hour and (140-3/5v) miles per hour. How far apart are the two cars after 1.5 hours?

480 - 1.5(2v + 8) - 1.5(140 - 3v/5)

480 - 3v - 12 - 210 + 0.9v               distribute
