The GCF of both terms is the product of the GCF of the coefficients and the GCF of the variables. In this case, our coefficients are 64 and -24, so the GCF of those two numbers is 8. Now, look at the variables, d5 and d2. The GCF of those terms is d2 because you can only factor out a maximum of d2 from both terms. You can write the GCF of the terms now:
