Step 1) divide both sides by 6. So, (6x)/6=-3/6
Step 2) simplfy. So, your 6's will cancel out to 1, and your -3/6 will simplify to -1/2. Your final answer will be x = -1/2
Since you know what to do now, how would you answer 3x=-6?
