Since the current in the electrical circuit varies inversely with the resistance
I = V / R
V is the constant of proportionality in this case
2.5 = V / 150
V = 150 * 2.5
= 375 volts (units for voltage)
Finally, we need to find the current in the circuit when the resistance is 300 Ω using this value that we found for v.
I = 375 / 300
= 1.25 A
It's important to find the constant of proportionality whenever you are given problems of this sort the rest of the puzzle just falls into place once you do that.
