I am not exactly familiar with the term "zeros method", but it likely refers to identifying the x and y intercepts.
When x = 0,
(0) - 3y = 15
-3y = 15
y = -5
so, (0,-5) is one solution, known as the y-intercept
when y = 0
x - 3(0) = 15
x - 0 = 15
x = 15
(15,0) is another solution, known as the x-intercept
Once you have plotted the two points, (0, -5) and (15,0), the line that connects them, stretching to infinity, is the solution to the equation.
Again, for the second equaiton, when x = 0
2(0) + 3y = -6
3y = -6
y = -2
(0,-2) is a solution
when y = 0
2x + 3(0) = -6
2x = -6
x = -3
(-3,0) is also a solution
Plot the points (0,-2) and (-3,0) , and the line connecting them is the complete solution set for the equation.
I hope this is what you are looking for. I usually refer to this as the double-intercept method.
