Amy thinks the solutions to the system below is (-4,-6) Eric thinks the solution to the system below is (8,2) . Are they both correct if so why? Or who is correct 

 

2x-3y=10

6y=4x-20

Amy thinks x = -4 and y = -6

(2(-4)) - (3(-6)) = 10

-8 + 18 = 10 (TRUE)

6(-6) = (4(-4)) - 20

-36 = -16 - 20 (TRUE)

 

AMY IS CORRECT.

 

Let now test Eric
Eric thinks x=8 and y = 2

2(8) - 3(2) = 10

16 - 6 = 10 (TRUE)

6(2) = 4(8) - 20

12 = 32 - 20 (TRUE)

Looks like ERIC IS CORRECT too.
