If Brian worked for n days and Kellen worked for half as many days, write an algebraic expression that represents the number of days kellen worked
Brian worked: n days
Kellen worked: (1/2)n days or (n/2) days
Let's try numbers (they are easier to understand):
If Brian worked 4 days and Kellen worked for half as many days, how many days did Kellen work? 4/2 = 2
If Brian worked 10 days; how many days did Kellen work? (1/2)*10 = 10/2 = 5
... make up some more problems ...
The variable n allows us to make an expression that can be used to find Kellen's work days given Brian's work days.
