 i do not know how to find the period of cos (pi/x)

Hi Nichole,

 

Cos(pi/x) is not a periodic function.  As x increases to large numbers the argument of the cosine function assymptotes to 1 because Cos(0)=1.  The same thing happens when x increases to large negative numbers.
