let f (x) = 2x-5 to evaluate the function: f(x) -f (2)

I am stuck on this problem. I have been trying to work it out nearly all morning. I asked a classmate and they haven't responded yet. I don't want to ask my teacher yet. Please help me. I looked at my book and tried to apply the example they provided but am not getting the same answer as it appears in the back of the book.

2x - 5 - (4 - 5)

2x - 5 - (-1)

2x - 5 + 1

2x - 4
