Marlene is absolutely correct in how she worked
out the equation of the line. Another way to do
this problem as stated is simply to plug the given
values of (x,Y) from the two points into the
equation y = 12x + 28 and see if they work
x=-1: y = 12(-1) + 28 = 16 (-1,16) is on the line
x=5: y = 12(5) + 28 = 88 (5,88) is on the line
Both points are on the line and the equation works
