The Slope-Intercept Form of the equation of a line looks like: y=mx + b
where m = slope and b = y-intercept (the place where x=0)
x+3y=2 We must isolate y on the left side.
3y=2 -x Subtract x from both sides
y = 2/3 -(1/3)x Divide all terms by 3
y = -(1/3)x + (2/3) Make it look like y=mx+b
